Our Story
It all started with Aimilios Alexakis, a Greek immigrant whose journey into furniture-making began at the young age of 15. With passion, precision, and perseverance, Aimilios opened his first sofa workshop in Greece, an endeavor that would go on to be featured in some of the country’s top-selling magazines. His commitment to quality and artistry quickly earned him a reputation as a master craftsman.
Today, Enigma Furniture continues that legacy. What began as a small workshop has grown into a symbol of excellence, driven by the same values of authenticity, innovation, and craftsmanship. Philip Alexakis
Philip leads Enigma’s sales and marketing efforts and is responsible for driving growth and innovation. He brings over 2 years of investment banking experience, specializing in sell-side M&A advisory.
He holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Illinois Chicago and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of the Aegean.
Aimilios Alexakis
With 45+ years of experience, Aimilios founded Enigma Furniture to carry forward a legacy of craftsmanship. Starting at age 15 in Greece, his work gained national acclaim. Today, he leads Enigma with the same passion for quality, tradition, and timeless design that defined his early career.
Mado Vlachou
Mado brings 4+ years of marketing experience from her time at Karelia, where she led campaigns for one of Greece’s most recognized brands. At Enigma, she drives brand strategy, creative direction, and customer engagement, blending industry expertise with a passion for storytelling and design.
Mado holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Peter Casamania
Operations Manager
With 10+ years of hands-on experience, Peter ensures Enigma’s production runs with precision and consistency. He oversees daily operations, logistics, and quality control, playing a vital role in maintaining the craftsmanship standards that define Enigma. His leadership keeps our workshop efficient, responsive, and customer-focused.
Tasos Papadopoulos
IT Manager
Tasos brings deep expertise in test automation and software quality with experience at top firms including Code.Hub, Upstream, and Dialectica. With a strong foundation in Selenium, Cypress, and CI/CD pipelines, he ensures Enigma’s digital platforms meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user experience.
Tasos holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of the Aegean.
